Part A explores the journey of how I came to provide near-end-of-life care to patients and families in the Ottawa area. World events, local factors and family issues highlighting decisions made by others are explored while other events and decisions within my sphere of influence are revealed. The composite reflections of lessons learned along the way are the building blocks for my emerging philosophy related to near-end-of-life care.
